Brawl Stars Strat 1: Don't be a Hero

Greetings Readers,

Welcome to the first installment of my Brawl Stars Guide to relativity! In this short post, I'm going to teach you arguably the best tip in the game, and yet one of the simplest.

Spike, in my opinion the cutest character in the game, will be the headliner for this series.

Basically: Don't be a hero

Ok, so every once in a while, I see a "hero". This person has a "go in guns blazing" attitude, and will usually use a high damage character such as Colt, Primo, Bull, Leon, etc. Although it's super cool how they slice and dice with finesse, heroes are usually some of the first people to be killed.

EXAMPLE: 3 "heroes", a Bull, a Primo, and a Darryl, each carrying about 4 energy cubes, rush to the middle to fight each other. I am Brock, and I'm just peacefully waiting in a bush nearby. The Bull defeats the darryl, but is weakened. Nevertheless, he gets the primo to 1000 health before being killed. I step out of the bush, fire my rocket once, and get 4 power cubes without taking any risk.

Long story short, don't be a hero. Although it's cool to be in the fray, firing as fast as you can, this leads to you being weakened and picked off, if you weren't killed in the big battle already. Another bad thing about being a hero is that if you are playing duos, if you die, then your partner has to cope with everyone themselves, with no "insurance". If you die from being a hero and then that makes your duo end up in 5th place, that's annoying for your partner.

This applies to gem grab too: if you have 4 gems, don't go chasing the enemy into their own territory. That's just not smart, because even if you kill someone, they will respawn near you, so the chances of you killing them and getting away with gems are low compared to the chances of you being killed and causing an 8 - gem swing. Same concept applies to bounty.

I hope this was helpful to you, it sure was helpful to me! Happy playing.

-Drew
